TODOS SANTOS AND EL FARO BEACH CLUB & SPA BY GUAYCURA PREPARE TO RECEIVE THE SECOND BAJAMED FOOD FESTIVAL

 

 The event will highlight the local flavors of Baja California Sur and will be led by Chef Miguel Ángel Guerrero, creator of the BajaMed culinary genre.

 

 The Festival will feature live performances by international musicians of great renown: Bill Levine and Terry Townson

 

The second edition of the BajaMed Food Festival will take place on November 24, hosted by El Faro Beach Club & Spa By Guaycura, in Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, as well as the chef Miguel Angel Guerrero, creator and promoter of the culinary genre called "BajaMed" that is born from the fusion of Mexican, Mediterranean and oriental cuisine.

With this gastronomic festival is expected to attract tourists from the southern United States, as well as local and national tourists interested in the constant culinary innovation that offers both the destination and the Chef himself, in one of the most emblematic places of the town of Todos Santos: The Lighthouse Beach Club & Spa By Guaycura, with its pristine beach and its historic lighthouse.

The event will also feature the live performance of a successful international jazz duet, made up of musicians Bill Levine, composer of multiple film soundtracks who will perform his "Latin jazz piano"; and by Terry Townson, composer and trumpeter winner of a Grammy, who is currently in Baja California Sur after falling in love with the beauty and lifestyle of the region.

For this second edition, Chef Miguel Angel announced the completion of a parallel tour of the entire peninsula, from Tijuana to Los Mochis, to then move to Todos Santos, called "Baja Expedition 2018", with the purpose of promoting the culinary style baptized as BajaMed.

During this tour, he will prepare various traditional dishes of his cuisine, exalt the importance of local producers and miscegenation as the basis of culinary creativity, to culminate this celebration with a flourish, with a five-course dinner pairing at El Faro Beach Club & Spa By Guaycura.

The organizers of the event said that it is about positioning Todos Santos as a historic destination that has a first class gastronomic offer, and as a gateway to the flavors of Baja California Sur, for thousands of tourists and locals interested in Explore the best culinary experiences.

 

It should be noted that the Chef Miguel Angel Guerrero and his interpretation of cuisine called BajaMed, seeks to exalt the best of each of the roots and techniques that make it up, to create a gastronomic concept of its own, capable of reflecting the cosmopolitan lifestyle that characterizes the peninsula.

 

This fusion of Mexican and Mediterranean with oriental accents, is based on the miscegenation of cultures and international influences that come together in the peninsula of Baja California itself. It is the mixture of food, ingredients and styles, which produces a kitchen characterized by frank and original dishes, made with raw materials of the best quality from local gardens and the catch of the day.

 

The BajaMed Food Festival is a celebration of the gastronomy of the area, led by Chef Guerrero, where attendees can enjoy a special five-course menu that will be offered at El Faro Beach Club & Spa by Guaycura, as well as enjoying live music with internationally renowned performers (Latin and contemporary jazz), in a unique setting in which the amazing natural landscapes of Todos Santos will be the ideal complement to the evening. The pairing during the event will be in charge of ALTOTINTO, signature wines from the Baja California region.
